Supported Applications - Windows

ASP.NET version 1.1 is supported. This utility must be installed in the control panel for it to work appropriately. When installing, be sure to leave the default directory the way it is (with a "/") so that you can use ASP.NET on your entire website.

SQL Enterprise Manager is now available! Much to the delight of our current developers, SQL Enterprise Manager has been made available to all plans hosted with VIA NET.WORKS USA.

Note: In order to protect the SQL database servers from frequent attack or hack attempts, we have switched the default port for SQL Enterprise manager from using 1433 to now 7433. If you open the Client Network Utility in your SQL Server program menu, you should select TCP/IP and click properties below it. A small box will open and here you can change the port number.

Windows servers running PHP are running version 4.3.11. For exact information regarding the PHP Installation on the server, please click here.

Active Perl version 5.8.6 Build 811 is currently installed on the server. Because of the nature of the shared environment only specific modules have been installed. If you have a request for additional modules or DLLs that are supported by the Perl vendor, please send a request to technical support.

Python 2.2.3 is currently installed on the server.

Standard certificates are now available to all IP based websites. If you purchased an Express Small, you will need to upgrade to a Windows Medium or Windows Large to obtain an unique IP address.

Shared SSLs are available for $8.99 a month. While generally these are slightly cheaper then a standard certificate, they are not recommended for customers with the StoreFront.Net software as the software cannot read the paths correctly.
